Dawn teaches Barre and Pilates here at FRESH. You can catch her regular classes on a Saturday morning.
Whilst rehearsing for a dance show at Pineapple Studios in London, Dawn hurt her back and was guided to the Pilates studio for some rehab. That was over 30 years ago.
It cured her back and grew her love for the practice. She trained both in New York and London and has owned Pilates studios both in Barbados and Hertfordshire with a passion for helping clients repair from back injuries. She loves to show people how to build strong core muscles, move with grace and maintain a healthy spine.
From an acting and dancing background, Dawn has always been fascinated by the connection of the mind and body, and what makes us so individual.
Having taught exercise and pilates for over 20 years she has recently taken trainings in Breathwork, Reiki and human behaviour so she can help people evolve into their unique and best self.
Dawn’s Wellness Tip
If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed or need some grounding take a pause to breath. Breathe in for the count of 5 and out for the count of 5 for about 4 or 5 rounds and it will instantly center and ground you. Can be used at any time of the day.
