In her Words
Health and fitness has been a passion of mine since I was a young, and being active and getting strong quickly became a lifestyle. Whether it was playing footy in the back garden with my siblings to competing in local 10K/half marathon races, canoeing and swimming in the Great Lakes; I found enjoyment in movement. As I got older, it was no surprise to my family and friends that I went to university to study Kinesiology.
I love teaching and inspiring others, from teenagers in the local secondary schools, to individuals in the community; influencing people to carve out a healthy, active lifestyle that is enjoyable and yet pushes themselves out of their comfort zone (just a tad). My classes are high-energy, and you will feel like a million bucks when you leave the session.
Credentials
I’ve been teaching physical education and coaching sport for the past 18 years after moving to the UK in 2006, teaching at 3 local secondary schools and coaching and umpiring at local netball clubs. I trained as a PE and History teacher after taking a Kinesiology degree in Canada, as well as taking certifications in personal training and first aid.
Christina Loves
Family and health are the most important things in my life; followed closely by playing netball for City of Ely NC, an amazing, supportive community who are my extended family. If you don’t see me on family walks/day trips, or out on the netball court, you’ll catch me on my SUP, open water swimming or walking our gorgeous dog Duke. Downtime with a toddler takes place once asleep, so reading and listening to music/podcasts are a must!
Christina’s Fav Wellness Quote & Inspo
Instead of saying “I don’t have time” try saying “it’s not a priority” and see how that feels.
-All progress takes place outside the comfort zone.
-Excessive moderation: “Do a little often instead of a lot a little.”
