PILATES
Pilates is hugely beneficial to anyone at any stage of their fitness journey, the holy grail of body loving fitness, you might say. Slow controlled movements allow your body to really work whilst being low impact enough for even complete beginners. Have you ever seen a 90 year old that looked & acted about 50… or a 50 year old that looked & acted 30 (I’m looking at you Elle MacPherson)? They’ve been doing Pilates. I put money on it. Beginner Pilates Learn to move with grace and intent in this Pilates mat workout class. Taught by Michelle Bird, this class will cover the classical moves, encouraging you to listen to your body to learn what you need. Focussing on establishing a mind-body connection so you can stay present in your practice and enjoy each movement. Perfect for beginners, pre & post natal and those who wish to rebuild their strength following illness or injury.
Pilates - for those who love a pure, classic Pilates sesh. This class is suitable for everyone with the instructor providing guidance to support your practice, at whatever level you are at.
Improver Pilates - For clients who want to deepen their Pilates practice, a great place to graduate from the beginners Pilates class. Suitable for those with some Pilates experience and perfect to support sports performance especially runners.
POWER Pilates - for our Pilates pro’s who want an extra challenge! Our power Pilates takes your classic session to the next level. Adding in more advanced variations of your fav exercises for optimal strength and conditioning.

What should I expect?
Pilates moves tend to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well. You can do Pilates with or without equipment (more on that below), but no matter what, expect the moves to involve slow, precise movements and breath control.
Who is it for?
This is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. Therefore it’s great for anyone looking to improve their posture, aid back pain or tone up all over. We have three different classes at FRESH. so you can pick and choose your favorite!
What’s on the playlist?
Possibly the only class where we allow the music to become a background accompaniment. Complimenting your session will be chilled beats and soothing tunes to keep you focused on the good stuff… your body.
