A sedentary lifestyle can lead to tight hips causing the muscles to deactivate. They then become progressively weaker and shorter.

Tight hips can refer to hip flexors, psoas, glutes, piriformis and other deep muscles of the buttocks.  Tightness in any of these muscles can limit range of motion and cause pain. 

Fion will guide you through a nice hip opening sequence to relieve stiffness and tension in the hips and learn drills to move into Hanumanasana (full split) in this extended practice.
